Closed on all four sides, standard containers or general purpose containers can vary in overall dimension and weight.

They can also be supplied with doors at one or both ends and one or both sides, depending on the customer’s requirements. The most popular standard cargo containers are those measuring 20′ and 40′ in length, but longer containers of around 45′ are also available. Standard cargo containers can be used for all types of general (dry) cargo.
